Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
I got back to Kuala Lumpur late last night. This evening, I went to the British High Commission to pick up my passport and it's true, I DID get my application for the British Working Holidaymaker Visa approved after all. It sounded to good to be true over the phone when I called to get confirmation. But the length of the visa, which is 2 years, starts the day my visa gets approved and not when I enter the UK as I was hoping. So that means I should be in the UK now because the visa is already running. But it is still winter! =( I was thinking of only going back after the winter so that I can surf the whole surfing season in Malaysia. The surfing season ends around February/March. I could do that but the longer I wait, the shorter my length of stay in the UK will be.
I'm taking a short break from surfing to pick up my passport and attend a wedding dinner. This is good for me, I think. My body is absolutely wrecked from the constant strain of paddling, dehydrated, sunburnt, scarred by the damn jellyfishes. The remnants of the jellyfish attack is still itching till today. And I am recovering from a flu - I hardly fall sick so I guess it's a sign for me to take a break.
On Sunday I will head up to Sungai Petani to attend a Aun's wedding and I hope to make it back to Cherating by Monday or Tuesday. Can't stay away from the surf too long!
Posted by Ripcord at December 10, 2004 08:11 PMFuckin Eh!
Sure I can find you a back garden to pitch a tent in for a while! I know of this little place in Croyde...
No, seriously, a small shitty - sorry, city - called Wakefield warmly welcomes the little Nomad.
Hey matey good job it'll be good to have you back. Its a real bummer about it starting so early though, you can't leave the surf man.
Got spare bed at my flat if your looking for a place to kip if Raph's field gets too cold.
Surf safe and enjoy your rest. RB
