Location : Madrid, Spain.
I left UK on the Sunday night of 28th October and there were no hiccups on the travelling arrangements which was a relief... Travelling on the job isn't exactly what it's all hyped up to be. Well, at least not on my side. For the last 4 days I have been working like a dog, literally! 15 to 18 hours of work per day. The only free time I had was on Tuesday night when I managed to take 2 hours off to have dinner with my Spanish friends who live in Madrid, Joaquin & Marta :-

And that was only because at that point in time, there was nothing else I could do, work-wise! The rest of the time was mostly spent working at the customer's laboratory or in the hotel room trying to sort out issues... So yeah, I did get to see Madrid, but only Hotel Puerta Madrid(of the Hoteles Silken Group) and it's surroundings :-

Those were the only photographs I had of Madrid from the whole trip! The weather was sunny everyday, not a cloud in the sky! But I spent most of my time in the hotel room. =( At least we had 4 star hotel comforts and good food to enjoy while working like a bitch... This is the first time I am in Madrid at this time of the year and it is still relatively warm. I reckon the weather here is probably like Australia where the summers are too hot and the best time for cool, crisp but warm weather is the transitional months of autumn and spring. Which is a whole heck better than having just the summer to savour the cool but warm weather and have the rest of the year friggin' cold!
I'm leaving back to the UK tonight and I have to concentrate on planning a surfing holiday to the Canary Islands in December...

Posted by: Ripcord at November 12, 2007 11:32 PMit sucks when working "out-of-town"..
as you hv to maximize your visit there to solve all problems they have....
if only you have the luxury of a day off pre and post work.. then it might be good...
